Spahr has been teaching music in Carlisle for 25 years. A piano teacher,
children's choir director, preschool music class teacher, prison ministry
music leader and performer on flute, guitar, hang drum and various
instruments, she thoroughly enjoys making music. In December 2006 she was
fortunate to acquire a rare Hang (pronounced "hong") drum, and since then
she has been happy to introduce it to many audiences, who are always
intrigued by its distinct look and tranquil sounds. Listeners have called
